I unpack labs, symptoms and risks step by step so you know exactly why I’m recommending a medication, test or referral — no jargon, no guessing.
A doctor who actually listens, explains, and walks the journey with you.
I’m a South African medical doctor offering virtual GP-style consultations. I help people make sense of their physical health, mental health and weight-related concerns — with clear explanations, a calm space, and evidence-based care.

Virtual GP-style care with academic excellence, a strong grounding in clinical medicine, and a sincere interest in both mental health and whole-person wellbeing.
I completed my medical degree (MBBCh) at the University of the Witwatersrand, graduating cum laude with distinctions across the board. I trained in some of South Africa’s busiest hospitals, caring for patients with a wide range of medical conditions every day.
I went on to write the FCP (SA) Part 1 examination — the entrance exam for specialist physicians — and passed it with distinction. This background means I’m comfortable handling complex problems, but my day-to-day focus is offering accessible, virtual GP-style care that feels human, calm and unhurried.
Outside of clinical work, I’m actively involved in medical research, particularly in infectious diseases and clinical medicine. Staying close to research helps me explain conditions, medications and risks in a way that is both accurate and practical for your real life.
I have extensive experience supporting people with anxiety, depression, burnout and stress-related symptoms, as well as those struggling with weight, metabolic health and lifestyle change. Many of my patients come to me feeling dismissed or rushed. My goal is the opposite — to give you space, take you seriously and walk the journey with you.
Space to talk through anxiety, burnout, sleep and mood without judgement. I check in frequently to make sure you’re tracking with the plan.
Practical follow-up plans for weight, metabolic and chronic care — including when to repeat tests and how to monitor changes safely.
How I think about your care
Medicine is not just about diagnoses and prescriptions — it’s about feeling understood, safe and informed enough to make the right decisions for your life.
I see our consultation as a conversation, not an interrogation. You bring your story and your experience; I bring medical training, research and structure. Together, we make sense of what’s happening and what to do next.
- I create a calm, non-judgemental space where you can speak honestly.
- I explain investigations, risks and options in plain language.
- I take mental health, stress and life circumstances seriously — not as an afterthought.
- I help you find realistic, sustainable steps (especially for weight and lifestyle change).
- • Someone who feels anxious, overwhelmed or “not like themselves” and wants to be taken seriously.
- • Someone who has been told “it’s just stress” but still doesn’t feel well.
- • Someone struggling with their weight or metabolic health and wants a medically guided, kind approach.
- • Someone with chronic conditions (like high blood pressure or diabetes) who wants more explanation and structure.
- • Someone confused by conflicting information online and just wants a clear, sensible plan.

What I don’t do (and when I’ll redirect you)
Good telehealth care includes knowing when a virtual consultation is not enough. Being clear about boundaries is part of keeping you safe.
I do not provide emergency or intensive care via this virtual practice.
- • If you have chest pain, severe shortness of breath, stroke symptoms or any medical emergency — please go to your nearest emergency unit or call an ambulance.
- • I do not replace in-person assessment when a physical examination is clearly required.
- • I will always be honest if I believe telehealth is not appropriate and guide you to the right level of care.
